Cabify's first institutional round was a €1.5M seed backed mainly by Silicon Valley investors — The Hit Forge, Red Swan Ventures, Resolute Partners and angel Maurice Werdegar — plus Belgian fund Emerge and angels sourced through AngelList, used to enter new markets and hire in Madrid. No lead was stated; TechCrunch later described the full seed stage as totalling about $4M once subsequent angel money was included.
