Adaptam Therapeutics, a 2023 spin-off from CIC bioGUNE built on research by Prof. Asís Palazón, closed a €3 million pre-seed round led by Criteria Bio Ventures. The company develops first-in-class antibody therapies against glycan-binding proteins and Siglecs on immunosuppressive myeloid cells, and will use the money to move programmes into preclinical development across several oncology indications; it has also received national and European Research Council grants.
