Renfe's board approved taking an equity stake in Valencian startup Visualfy (Fusio d'Arts Technology), which builds sound-recognition and alert technology for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, as part of a funding round the company opened in 2023. The deal, Renfe's second startup investment via its TrenLab programme, came with a contract to roll out Visualfy's system across 25 stations; the amount was not disclosed in the announcement.
