Tebrio, the Salamanca-based industrial producer of Tenebrio molitor (mealworm) protein, fats, biofertiliser and chitosan, raised €30M in a mix of equity and venture debt co-led by CDTI Innovación and GPC, with Banco Santander and Sodical also participating. The money funds a new 90,000 sqm plant intended to produce more than 100,000 tonnes of product a year; CDTI committed about €6.9M of the total and has been a shareholder via Innvierte since 2020.
