Pridatect

Pridatect was a Barcelona-based legal-tech/SaaS company founded in 2017 that offered an online GDPR and data protection compliance platform for SMEs and the professionals (lawyers, consultants) serving them, covering risk assessment, records of processing activities, action plans and security measures, and compliance certification, with operations in Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy and Latin America. It raised roughly $3.7-3.8M in total, including a €1M round (Encomenda Smart Capital, ESADE BAN) and a €2.2M Series A led by Sabadell Venture Capital with Wayra (Telefónica). It was acquired by US/Singapore-based data-security startup Borneo.io in October 2022, and co-founder David Casellas joined Borneo as CRO.
