tranSkriptorium (Transkriptorium AI, S.L.) is a Valencia-based AI company that uses deep learning to transcribe, index and extract structured information from digitised handwritten and typed documents, turning historical and administrative archives into searchable, queryable databases. It is a 2020 spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de València and its PRHLT research centre, built around proprietary Probabilistic Indexing (PrIx) technology and the archAIc platform, and serves archives, libraries, public administrations and researchers. It is an ENISA-certified emerging company (2023), a South Summit 2024 StartUp Competition finalist, TOP101 Spain Up Nation 2024, and won first prize in the spin-off category of the XVIII IDEAS UPV Awards 2024; it is a small team (~9 people) and is publicly signalling that it is fundraising.
