Sherpa.ai is a Spanish privacy-preserving AI company whose platform uses federated learning ("Blind Federated Learning") so enterprises, governments and regulated organisations can jointly train and run machine-learning models, LLMs and multi-agent systems without ever sharing raw data. Founded in 2012 in the Bilbao area as a predictive conversational assistant company, it pivoted to distributed/data-sovereign AI infrastructure for healthcare, financial services, industry, telecom and defence, with customers including the US National Institutes of Health, KPMG, Telefónica, Prosegur, Orange, Zurich, Indra, Unicaja and Centogene. In July 2026 it raised $18M led by Forgepoint Capital, bringing total disclosed funding to roughly $48M. The firm is headquartered in Erandio/Bilbao (Basque Country) with a Silicon Valley presence, and the legal entity is Sherpa Europe S.L.
