Pontio is a Madrid-based fintech that provides point-of-sale financing (a BNPL-style product) for residential energy-efficiency installations — solar PV, batteries, heat pumps and EV chargers — sold through installer companies. Installers pre-qualify customers instantly in a 100% digital flow, get paid up front, and Pontio assumes the credit risk with terms of up to 25 years. Founded in 2021 and backed by early-stage investors including Bynd Venture Capital, Draper B1, Lanai Ventures and CastiVentures, it says it financed over 7,000 installations in 2025 and has grown to roughly 45-50 employees.
