Sayme (SAYME Wireless Sensor Network) is a Spanish IoT company that designs, manufactures and deploys ultra-low-power wireless sensor hardware and software platforms for smart cities, Industry 4.0, logistics and customer service — its best-known products are smart waste/dumpster fill-level sensors and locks, asset trackers and feedback buttons. Founded in 2007 as a University of Cantabria spin-off (originally monitoring tower-crane loads, later pivoted to waste management after the construction crash), it develops 100% of its technology in-house and has deployments in more than 14 countries, including New York City waste management, with partners such as NTT/Everis, NEC, Schneider Electric, Verizon and Indra. It is headquartered in Torrelavega, Cantabria, is backed by Basque fund Easo Ventures, and has raised roughly €1.5-2M across small capital increases plus a €250k participative loan from regional agency SODERCAN.
