MyTwinPlace

MyTwinPlace was a Barcelona-based collaborative travel startup running a home-exchange marketplace: members hosted travellers in their home or spare room and earned a virtual 'point' currency redeemable for free accommodation elsewhere, with travel insurance included for host and guest, reaching around 35,000-40,000 users across 160+ countries. It went through the Wayra Barcelona (Telefónica) accelerator and raised roughly €1.5M in seed/early rounds from Inveready, Sabadell Venture Capital and angels including BlaBlaCar Spain founder Vincent Rosso, and also launched a home-swap service aimed specifically at entrepreneurs. The company is no longer active: it was acquired by French startup NightSwapping around 2017.
