Mesta is a Spanish climate-agtech company that develops carbon-reduction impact projects in the livestock sector, helping dairy and cattle farmers cut methane emissions through precision-nutrition feed additives and better manure, feed and energy management. It finances and technically supports farmers and turns the verified reductions into high-quality carbon credits certified under Verra's VM0041 methodology, currently covering roughly 12,500 head of cattle across 90+ farms in 17 Spanish provinces. It was built as a corporate venture by Pascual Innoventures (Calidad Pascual's venturing arm) together with venture builder 7R Ventures, has run pilots achieving ~10-15% methane reductions per cow, partners with Iberdrola's Carbon2Nature, and has been recognised in the Expansión/KPMG/Bankinter sustainable-economy awards.
