Virtest Technologies is a Barcelona-based medtech spin-off of Universitat Pompeu Fabra's PhySense/BCN-MedTech group that builds patient-specific cardiac "virtual twins" and computational flow simulations for planning minimally invasive structural heart procedures. Its main product, VIDAA, is a cloud platform for Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) that lets clinicians virtually implant and test occluder devices before surgery, complemented by ARIDAA, an augmented-reality visualisation app, plus device-testing and virtual-training services. Incorporated in October 2024 after ~€2.1M of research grants, it raised a €800K seed round in October 2025 led by Grow Venture Partners with Fons FITA to pursue CE marking.
