Marsi Bionics is a Madrid-based medical robotics company that develops and sells wearable gait exoskeletons for children and adults with neurological and neuromuscular conditions that affect mobility. Its lead product, ATLAS 2030, is the world's first CE-marked paediatric exoskeleton for overground walking. It is used in rehabilitation by public and private healthcare centres, and the company has clients in Spain, Italy, France, Poland, the United Kingdom and Mexico. The range also includes the MB-Active Knee (MAK), a single-joint active orthosis for adults, and EXPLORER, a paediatric exoskeleton for use at home and outdoors. The company was founded in 2013 by CSIC researcher Elena García Armada as a spin-off of the Centre for Automation and Robotics (CSIC-UPM). In 2021 it raised €943,000 from 154 investors through the equity crowdfunding platform Fellow Funders. In June 2023 it closed a €4.5M round led by ALBP, ION ION and Orilla Asset Management, the investment vehicles of Verónica Pascual, Jon Riberas and Francisco Riberas. It has also received public R&D funding from CDTI, ENISA and the EU.
