PPhysioMRI
PhysioMRI develops and manufactures low-field portable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners for extremities, aimed at clinics, hospitals, sports clubs and research laboratories. Its scanners, ODIN and YMIR (the latter designed for knee imaging), are sold through a pay-per-use model, so clinics avoid a large upfront capital outlay and share scan revenue with the company. The technology came out of research at the Institute of Molecular Imaging and Sensing (i3M, UPV/CSIC), and the scanners have been clinically tested at Hospital La Fe in Valencia and at Bergman Clinics in the Netherlands. Founded in 2020 and based in Paterna, Valencia, the company has raised about €4 million in private funding. Its backers include former NBA players Luis Scola and Víctor Claver, several Valencian family offices, and business angels. It has also received public funding from Horizon Europe, CDTI, Eureka and the Valencian Institute of Finance (IVF).
