Valencia-based PhysioMRI, a UPV-CSIC spin-off developing portable low-field MRI scanners priced up to 20 times below conventional machines, closed €4M combining Horizon Europe funding, CDTI support and Institut Valencià de Finances financing alongside existing business angels; no venture stage or lead was disclosed. Angels include former NBA players Luis Scola and Víctor Claver, and the company targeted CE and FDA certification within 18 months with first deliveries in early 2025.
