iPremom is a Valencia-based molecular diagnostics company focused on the early prediction of pregnancy complications. Its MaiRa platform uses cell-free RNA transcriptomics and AI-based predictive models to assess, from a single first-trimester maternal blood sample, the risk of conditions such as preeclampsia, preterm birth, fetal growth restriction and gestational diabetes; the preeclampsia test can be performed from week 9 of pregnancy and is offered in Spain through the company's own laboratory. The platform was developed with data from the PREMOM study, one of Spain's largest prospective clinical trials, covering more than 26,000 blood samples from 10,000 pregnancies. Founded in 2019 by Professor Carlos Simón (founder of Igenomix) and Dr Tamara Garrido, the company received EIC Accelerator support and in September 2026 raised a €15M Seed round led by Amadeus Capital Partners with participation from Asabys Partners and APEX Ventures, to fund clinical validation, EU and US regulatory approvals and commercial rollout.
