FFlappin'
Flappin' is a Barcelona-based traveltech company that sold surprise travel, getaway and leisure experiences, including trips, restaurants and activity plans, in which customers bought a package without knowing the destination or venue, for themselves or as a gift. It sold directly to consumers online, with products priced at roughly €20–€300 per person, and operated in Spain, Portugal and Italy. It reported more than 165,000 registered users, over 10,000 tickets sold and about €1.3 million in revenue in 2023. Founded in Barcelona in late 2021 by Pol Clavell, Marc Teixidor, Sergi Vila and Ferran García, it raised a pre-seed round backed by Bcombinator and business angels and opened an €800,000 round in 2023. In January 2025 its operating company, Surprise Box Europe S.L., filed for insolvency proceedings and stopped trading.
