Mati

Mati, formerly Buscoresi, is a Barcelona-based online marketplace where students search, compare and book places in student residences and residential colleges. Residence operators advertise their beds on the platform, and the company earns a commission on each booking. By early 2023 it listed about 23,000 beds in around 20 Spanish cities, mainly Barcelona and Madrid, worked with the ten largest student-housing operators in Spain, and had placed around 500 students. Aitor Rodríguez and Víctor Ramírez founded it in Barcelona in 2021. In 2022 it raised a €340,000 seed round from 19 investors, including the investment platform Vermú and angels such as Jesús Rebollo (Doctoralia), Jesús Alonso Gallo (restaurantes.com), Fran Conejos (Landbot), Gorka Puente (Manfred), Juan José Mostazo (Homa Games) and Javier Etxebeste.
