Inespay

Inespay is a Valencia-based fintech that provides instant account-to-account payments, turning bank transfers into a real-time payment method for merchants. It uses open banking under the EU PSD2 directive: its payment initiation service lets payers authorise transfers with their existing online-banking credentials, and it serves B2B payments, high-value e-commerce, lending and crowdfunding platforms. In February 2020 it became the first entity authorised by the Bank of Spain to provide payment initiation services. It operates as licensed Payment Entity 6902, serves hundreds of companies across Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany, and plans to launch in Mexico. Víctor Pardo and Carlos Castellanos founded the company in Valencia in 2015. In 2022 it raised a €500,000 seed round led by Angels, Juan Roig's investment vehicle, with business angels Fernando Cabello-Astolfi, Arturo González Mac Dowell and Iván Peña also taking part.
