SSpherag Tech
Spherag is a Zaragoza-based agtech company that develops an end-to-end smart water management platform for farmers, irrigation communities and urban water infrastructure. Its solution combines proprietary IoT hardware deployed on agricultural installations with a cloud platform built on NB-IoT/5G connectivity and AWS services, allowing users to remotely monitor crops and program and operate irrigation in real time, with reductions of up to one-third in water and energy consumption. Founded in 2020 by Jesús Ibáñez, the company operates in more than 15 countries with over 450 agricultural operations from Australia to the United States, and was awarded the digitalisation of the Comunidad General de Regantes del Canal de Aragón y Cataluña, covering 29 irrigation communities. Spherag raised €300,000 from Decelera Menorca in 2022 and a €3 million round led by Ship2B Ventures through its BSocial Impact Fund, alongside Bonsai Partners and BayWa Venture.
