Tiko
Tiko is a Madrid-based proptech company that bought homes directly from owners and resold them. Its data-driven valuation algorithm allowed it to make purchase offers and close sales within days. It later added brokerage services, and in 2024 it acquired Housell from Aviv Group, giving it a platform of about 2,000 properties in Spain and making it the country's largest digital real estate agency. Tiko was founded in 2017 by Sina Afra with co-founders Ana Villanueva, Can Günay and Paco Sahuquillo. Before its 2021 Series A it raised about $11M from investors including Rocket Internet, b2venture and TA Ventures. The Series A was a record $65M round of equity and debt, led by btov Partners and Rocket Internet. In 2025 the company entered insolvency proceedings in Spain and wound down its Spanish operations, while activity continued in Portugal.
