MissCar

MissCar is a women-only carpooling platform, available as a mobile app and website, that lets women share car journeys and split travel costs. The platform includes identity and phone verification, traveller ratings and reviews, and in-app payments processed through MangoPay. It has more than 15,000 registered users, and its most popular routes run between Madrid and Seville and between Andalusian provinces. It has partnerships with the University of Seville and the alumni network of the Escuela de Organización Industrial. The company was founded in March 2020 in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) by José Antonio Herreros and a group of partners, and launched publicly in March 2021. In July 2021 it closed a €300,000 seed round backed by Sauci Asesores and Levante Premium Real State.
