AAsistensi
Asistensi is a Madrid-based insurtech that sells emergency health plans that migrants living in Europe, the United States and the Middle East buy online for family members in their home countries, with no medical admission tests. Its plans include telemedicine, home visits from local doctors, ambulance transfers, delivery of medicines for acute conditions and hospitalisation cover for emergencies. The insurance is written by local carriers such as Mercantil Seguros in Venezuela, GNP in Mexico and Humano Seguros in the Dominican Republic. Founded in November 2019, the company operates in Latin America and South East Asia. In Venezuela it works with more than 200 affiliated clinics across 24 cities and delivered over 15,000 services in 2021. Asistensi raised a $3 million seed round in 2020, co-led by Alma Mundi Ventures and Mountain Nazca, followed by a $10.5 million Series A in 2021 backed by Alma Mundi Ventures, 468 Capital and Mountain Nazca.
