Uelz is a Valencia-based fintech that provides a no-code, API-first billing and collections automation platform for SMEs, SaaS companies, telecom providers, payment service providers and e-learning platforms. The platform brings several payment gateways and methods (card, SEPA direct debit, open banking and BNPL) together in one place and automates recurring billing, including fixed, variable, usage-based and instalment charges, alongside payment links, checkout integration and real-time metrics, and is sold as SaaS. The business was founded in 2018 by María Luke and Xandra Etxabe as Fixme Connect, a wellness-services marketplace. In 2021 it pivoted to a SaaS platform for small-business digitalisation that reached 200 customers across Spain, Colombia and Mexico, and in 2022 it relaunched as Uelz, focused on payments. Uelz won South Summit 2023. It raised a €1M seed round in 2021 led by Angels Capital with international investors, and a €800K round in October 2023 led by Wayra, with Core Angels, Uhaldia Investments, Angels Capital, The Venture City and fintech business angels taking part.
