Scalefast is a Los Angeles-based e-commerce platform that lets brands launch and run their own direct-to-consumer online stores worldwide. It pairs SaaS technology with a business-as-a-service model, acting as merchant of record and handling payments, tax, fraud, fulfilment and customer care, so stores can go live in about 15 days; customers have included L'Oréal, FLIR and Square Enix. The company was founded in 2014 by Nicolas Stehle, Frédéric Bocquet and Olivier Schott, and runs its European headquarters and core operations teams from Madrid. Benhamou Global Ventures led its Series A in 2018, with Adara Ventures and CIC Capital also taking part. Xplorer Capital, Stereo Capital and FJ Labs led a Series B that opened at $22M in June 2020 and was later extended to more than $30M, and ESW acquired the company in 2022.
