Kokoro Kids is a Valencia-based edtech company that builds a mobile learning app to support cognitive and emotional development in children aged 2 to 6. The app offers more than 150 games, videos and audiobooks built on a proprietary method drawn from psychopedagogy, emotional education, multiple intelligences and neurodidactics, and uses AI-driven adaptive learning, with dashboards that let parents follow their child's progress. The company was founded in 2017 by Carles Pons, a co-founder of Akamon, and raised a seed round led by K Fund, followed in 2020 by a €550,000 round with The Valley Venture Capital, Bankinter and R2 Seed, in which K Fund also took part. In 2023 Kokoro Kids merged with Nannyfy to form Apolo Kids, an inclusive learning platform for children with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder that the LEGO Foundation later backed through its Play for All Accelerator.
