Bankinter is a Spanish bank whose corporate venture capital activity is run through Bankinter Capital Riesgo and the Bankinter Innovation Foundation, investing in technology startups from seed through growth stage. Focus areas include fintech, insurtech, HRtech, healthtech and other sectors close to the bank's core business, with a strong preference for Spanish, Portuguese and Irish startups with international ambition. Since 2013 the program has invested in more than 50 tech startups, including Paack, Landbot and Photoslurp, and it also runs the annual Startup Ecosystem Observatory.
