UUnnax
Unnax is a Barcelona-based open finance and embedded banking platform that provides account aggregation, payment initiation, and Banking-as-a-Service APIs (money transfers, payment management, financial data, risk/fraud and identity tools) across Spain and Mexico, holding an Electronic Money Institution licence plus AISP/PISP authorisation from the Bank of Spain. It raised roughly $10M across two rounds, with a ~€7M Series A in January 2021 led by Grupo Elektra alongside Swanlaab, Athos Capital, SegTech Ventures, Bankinter's investment arm and CSQ. Unnax was acquired by French open-finance group Powens (Budget Insight) in April 2024 for a reported ~€40M and is no longer independent; its Spanish team is in Barcelona.
