Heymondo
Heymondo is an online travel insurance brokerage and insurtech that sells digital travel, medical and cancellation policies backed by a mobile app offering 24/7 assistance, chat with doctors and claims management. Founded in 2017 in Barcelona by two former Zurich Insurance executives, it operates across Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Romania and the United States with roughly 120 employees and both B2C and B2B (tour operator/affiliate) channels. In February 2025 US private equity firm J.C. Flowers & Co. acquired a majority stake, buying out earlier backers Banco Sabadell, Bankinter, Howzat Partners and family office Cartera de Inversiones CM to fund international expansion.
