JJournify
Journify is a Valencia-based mobility start-up that runs a corporate carpooling platform for daily commutes. Its app matches employees, university students and business-park workers travelling in the same direction so they can share their car journeys, cutting commuting costs and CO2 emissions. It sells to companies through its Journify Business line, and its clients have included Amazon, Thales Group, Valeo, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Grupo Santalucía and Parque Empresarial Atalayas, as well as Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Universidad Complutense de Madrid; by 2020 it had more than 18,000 active users and over 68,000 trips a month. It was founded in Valencia in 2016 after winning an international hackathon organised by Google, went through the EIT Climate-KIC, EIT Urban Mobility and IMPACT Connected Car acceleration programmes, and in October 2020 closed a €440,000 seed round led by B4Motion, the venture lab of Bergé Auto and Moventia, with entrepreneur David Cantolla and ENISA also taking part.
