eWear is a Valencia-based maker of contactless payment rings that let users pay at any contactless terminal by linking a bank card to an NFC-enabled ring, with no battery, phone or internet connection needed. Its rings come in ceramic, stainless steel, sterling silver and gold, are waterproof (IP68) and hypoallergenic, work with the Visa and Mastercard networks, and are designed and made in-house in Spain. It sells them direct to consumers through its online shop, with prices starting at €99. Three designers started the company in 2020, and in 2021 it patented a metal payment ring.
