The Mindkind is a deep-tech company based in Castejón de Sos (Huesca) that develops Algorithmic Artificial General Intelligence (A-AGI). Its ETR cognitive architecture comes from affective neuroscience research the founder began in 2005, and it is built to give causal, traceable and explainable adaptive intelligence to critical systems. Target uses include explainable machine learning for regulated industries, video-game AI, intelligent robotics, chatbots and autonomous space exploration. Mario Garcés founded the company in the Benasque Valley at the end of 2020. It has been funded by its founder, a friends-and-family round, and public grants including a CDTI Neotec project and NextGenerationEU money. It won the Faro AI Award at ICEX Desafía Day 2026 and was selected for Creative Destruction Lab San Sebastián 2026/27.
