ClimateCoin is a Valencia-based climate finance startup that created one of the world's first regulated digital carbon assets, tokenizing high-quality carbon credits on the carbon-neutral Algorand blockchain. Founded in 2017, its ecosystem includes a governance token (ClimaT), a project-financing CO2 Fund, a crowdlending platform (Climate Crowd), and a real-time carbon monitoring/verification system (D-MRV). The company later spun off its sister project ClimateTrade (2019, same founding team).
