TORCH Smart Urban Solutions is a Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona)-based urban technology company that builds off-grid urban infrastructure powered by solar energy and local artificial intelligence. Its patented products include a fully solar-powered traffic light that keeps working through power cuts and warns vulnerable pedestrians about fast-approaching vehicles, and smart solar bus shelters with real-time information and voice interaction, sold to municipalities and other public-space operators largely through licensing. In collaboration with Sant Feliu de Llobregat, the company installed Spain's first 100% solar traffic light as a pilot. Founded in 2024, TORCH was incubated at the Co-Innova_LAB innovation centre, took part in the ESADE and Primer accelerator programmes, received EU co-financing and won Best Startup at the eMobility Startup Forum.
