Wifit Gyms is a Madrid-based low-cost, highly digitalised gym chain founded in 2023 by José Luis Torrecilla and Íñigo Moreno-Luque, who previously built and sold IFitness to the Altafit group. Its clubs are open 24/7 with automated access, no lock-in contracts and a 100% digital member experience, and the chain reached ~9,000 members in its first year. Spanish private equity firm Alter Capital Desarrollo entered as a minority holder in 2024 and took ~55% control in June 2025, backing a ~€6M plan to reach ten clubs (mostly in Madrid) by early 2027.
