OOncovision
Oncovision (legally General Equipment for Medical Imaging, S.A. / GEM Imaging) is a Valencian medtech company that designs and sells molecular-imaging devices used by surgeons, radiologists, oncologists and nuclear physicians for cancer diagnosis and treatment — including the MAMMI dedicated breast PET scanner, the Sentinella intra-operative gamma camera, the Wprobe gamma probe and the CareMiBrain/MindView brain PET system. Founded in 2003 as a spin-off of CSIC's Instituto de Física Corpuscular / Universidad de Valencia (technology from Prof. José María Benlloch's group, later I3M), it is a mature deeptech SME rather than a conventional VC-stage startup: it raised small venture and CDTI-backed rounds (roughly €1.5–4M disclosed) and sold its preclinical PET imaging business to Bruker in 2016 while retaining the clinical human-imaging business. It sells in 30+ markets, is certified as a 'PYME Innovadora', and has a secondary office in Boston.
