Sweanty
Sweanty is a Spanish deeptech spin-off of the CSIC's Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM) that turns sweat into data. Its single-use, self-powered wearable patch (SweaTracker) measures sweat rate and electrolyte loss — chiefly sodium — and pairs with an app to deliver personalized hydration plans, sold both to endurance athletes and to industrial employers for heat-stress and heat-stroke prevention (deployed to over 1,000 workers). Founded in 2021 in Mataró (Barcelona area), it is an early-stage company of ~7-9 people funded mainly through public grants (ENISA, CDTI, Next Generation EU) plus unnamed private investment; no named VC investors or funding rounds are publicly disclosed.
