Revelock
Revelock (formerly buguroo) was a Madrid-based cybersecurity company that built a Fraud Detection & Response platform using behavioral biometrics, device/network assessment and deep learning to create a 'BionicID' for each banking user, detecting account takeover, identity impersonation and manipulation attacks in real time. It started in 2010 as buguroo, an offensive-security and anti-fraud consultancy, pivoted in 2015 to a pure online-fraud software vendor, and rebranded to Revelock in April 2021; at its peak it protected 50M+ banking customers across Europe and Latin America. The company is no longer an independent startup: it was acquired by Portuguese risk-management company Feedzai in August 2021 and the Revelock brand has since been folded into Feedzai. Its founders Pablo de la Riva and David Morán have since launched a new Madrid fraud-prevention startup, Acoru (2023).
