Katoid is a Barcelona-based deep-tech analytics company founded by two 20-year video game industry veterans, originally building 'Game Path Mining' / 'storyline analytics' technology that lets mobile free-to-play game studios see, map and model how players actually play, in order to improve engagement and monetization. To do it they built an 'organic database' from scratch — a new type of distributed data processing engine inspired by biology — and shipped products including katCX. The company is now in stealth and its current product direction is undisclosed.
