HHydrometeorological Innovative Solutions
HYDS is a Barcelona-based technology company that builds hydrometeorological forecasting and risk-management systems, best known for its Argos family of cloud products (Argos, Argos City, Argos Site, Argos Flow, Argos Hydro) that combine real-time weather radar, monitoring and impact forecasting to issue hyper-local alerts for floods, droughts, fires and extreme winds. Clients include meteorological services, water agencies, urban drainage and civil-protection bodies, road maintenance and hydropower operators. It is a 2006 spin-off of CRAHI-UPC (Centre of Applied Research in Hydrometeorology, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), is registered as an Innovative SME, and took a minority capital investment from CDTI Innovación's Innvierte programme together with AGBAR.
