MainRail is a Spanish rail-tech startup that builds MainRailMT, a cloud platform combining EAM/CMMS asset management with advanced analytics, digital twins and AI to shift railway infrastructure maintenance from preventive to predictive (plus MainRailID IoT inspection devices). Founded in 2019 and incorporated in 2020 as a spin-off of Ceit (technology centre of the University of Navarra) with backing from IT firm Inycom, it is headquartered in Mutilva/Aranguren near Pamplona (Navarra) with a secondary office in Madrid, and has raised roughly €2M across two rounds (€1.1M in July 2021 and €854k in December 2023). Its software is deployed on more than 3,200 km of track — including ADIF conventional lines in Catalonia and Aragon via Coalvi/Rover Rail, the Zaragoza tram, and metre-gauge networks in Mallorca, the Basque Country and Cantabria — and it claims up to 25% maintenance cost reduction.
