Luzia, the Spanish-language AI personal assistant that runs inside WhatsApp, announced its first funding round, led by Silicon Valley seed fund A* (backers of Airbnb, Uber and Pinterest); the amount was not disclosed at announcement. Six weeks after launch the assistant had handled over 8 million conversations across more than 40 countries.
