Barcelona's Mafer AI raised a €2M pre-seed led by Kfund, with 4Founders Capital, Masia and Lavanda Ventures (the Puig family's startup vehicle) participating alongside angels from MIT, Google, Samaipata, Bain and BCG. Founded in late 2025 by Fernando Oliver Jané and Marc Montalbo Burges, it builds an AI operating system for R&D teams in formulation industries (specialty chemicals, food, cosmetics, fragrances) and reports close to €300k of committed ARR.
