The ICN2/ICREA spin-off, which develops graphene-based neural interfaces for Parkinson's, epilepsy and speech disorders, closed a €20M venture debt loan from the European Investment Bank. The loan (signed in late November 2023) funds clinical development of its R&D pipeline and gives the company flexibility ahead of an equity round planned for 2024; it is pure venture debt rather than an equity round.
