Volotea — Series A · €50M

Launch equity round of more than €50M raised before the airline's first flight (Venice, April 2012), led by US private equity firm CCMP Capital Advisors with 49% of voting rights, with Axis Participaciones Empresariales (ICO) and Corpfin Capital taking 25% between them and founders Carlos Munoz and Lazaro Ros holding 26%. CCMP and Corpfin later sold their stakes in a June 2018 secondary buyout to Elysium, HRS Management, Meridia Capital, Rijn Capital and Rocinante, which brought no disclosed new money into the company.
