Nora Real Food — Pre-seed · €455K
Announced 2020-03 · Barcelona · Foodtech
Nora Real Food's only reported funding round: a €455,000 friends-and-family raise opened in March 2020 and cut short by the COVID-19 outbreak, which let the company keep operating through the pandemic and fit out its central kitchen in Barcelona's 22@ district. No investors were ever named publicly and the round was never announced at the time — it is only described retrospectively by founder Nora Vallcorba in Spanish press, so the date is month-precision at best. The company was started with €300,000 of founder/family capital (not a round), has been profitable since, and as of the 2026 reports (€10.3M revenue in 2025) has explicitly ruled out raising again, saying any future capital would only come from food-industry partners. One outlet (ViaEmpresa) loosely describes the pandemic raise as 'around one million euros' from friends and family, but the €455,000 figure is the one quoted directly by the founder and repeated across sources.
