Vocdoni (then operating through Estonian entity Dvote Labs OU) closed its first seed round of roughly €180,000 raised from a large number of small individual investors, with an average ticket of about €2,000 per participant, after growing from three to six people. Sources only place the round in the summer of 2019, so the date here is approximate to the year. The company had earlier been launched on the back of a €30,000 crowdfunding campaign in 2018, which was not an equity round; the project was later acquired by the Aragon Association (announced January 2021), an acquisition rather than a funding round.
