Histocell closed a €3M capital increase completed in July 2018 and made public around the September 2018 inauguration of its Larrabetzu manufacturing plant; the Japanese fund Cell Innovation Partners (backed by ReproCELL and Shinsei Bank) took about one third of the round (c. €0.83M) in its first investment in a Spanish biopharmaceutical company, with the rest subscribed by Histocell's existing shareholders. No stage label was disclosed by the company, so the ladder placement is inferred from the sequence of rounds; separately, the €1.6M plant itself was part-financed by grants from the Bizkaia Provincial Council and the Basque Government's Gauzatu programme, which are not counted here.
