HESStec (the Hybrid Energy Storage Solutions S.L. entity that succeeded Win Inertia Technologies) closed a €12M capital increase with the entry of Suma Capital's SC Net Zero Ventures fund, ABB and VERBUND X Ventures, alongside existing shareholders Elewit and RIC Energy; no single lead was named in the announcement. The round (~$13.6M) funds an in-house production line for its intelligent control systems, a megawatt-scale expansion of its Advanced Grid Lab and expansion into Germany, France, Italy, the Nordics, North America, LatAm and the Middle East; ABB's Lee Todd joined the board. Some databases date the deal 2025-06-06/06-10 from later re-announcements, but the first announcement was 28 May 2025.
