Win Inertia is a Spanish deep-tech energy company that designs and builds hybrid energy storage systems (HESS/BESS) combining ultracapacitors, batteries and proprietary power electronics with patented energy-management algorithms, for grid operators, renewable integration, microgrids, EV charging and peak shaving. Founded in 2007 as a University of Seville spin-off (Win Inertia Technologies S.L.), it was restructured in 2018 into Hybrid Energy Storage Solutions S.L., which now trades as HESStec and retains Win Inertia as a commercial brand; HQ is in Paterna (Valencia) with the R&D centre in Seville. It raised a ~$13.6M Series B in June 2025 led by strategic investors including ABB.
